It’s November 2020, and in the UK we have been placed under a nationwide lockdown once again, much to the detriment of many businesses, employees and self-employed business-people. People with supposedly ‘secure’ jobs have been furloughed or even laid off. Once thriving businesses have been put through their paces, with even some of the big name national companies going into administration, such as Debenhams, Bensons For Beds, Monsoon, Victoria’s Secret, and many more.

In these uncertain times, if your financial security is dependent on ‘external forces’, whether government regulations, travel restrictions, financial recession impacting ‘regular customers’, or any of the other issues created by Covid and lockdown, rather than focusing on the negatives and dwelling on how mind-bogglingly difficult the situation has become, instead it can be worth doing something different

A healthy alternative to worrying about what you can’t change, is focusing on what you can change. So, if you’re out of work right now, or you’re worried about your financial security and whether your job/business will weather another lockdown (especially if it were to be extended), you might consider taking a stand, being super proactive, and setting the foundations for a new career that will support you throughout the rest of your life, and even through the most challenging of times!

This is where hypnotherapy comes in…

If you’re thinking about becoming a hypnotherapist, now is the perfect time to train (or re-train, if it’s something you previously started learning). Consider lockdown not as a curse, but as an opportunity to learn, and to create yourself a sustainable (lockdown-proof) career. We know hypnotherapy is ‘lockdown-proof’ as the majority of hypnotherapists all over the world have continued working throughout 2020, even whilst locked down. This is because hypnotherapy works just as well online (on Zoom/Skype/Facetime) as it does in person! In fact, many hypnotherapists have been even busier in 2020 than they were in previous years, simply due to the fact that lockdown has caused a people lot of issues, from weight gain to relationship issues, as well as a whole bunch of life and work-related stress and anxiety! As such, there has never been a better time to become a hypnotherapist, and just as a hypnotherapist can see clients online, people can train to become hypnotherapists online too – as a matter of fact, you could even start today!

A great benefit that you’ll get when you become a hypnotherapist, is that as well as helping your hypnotherapy clients to achieve powerful, long-term changes in their behaviours, beliefs and their lives in general, is that you can apply the same tools towards helping yourself and your loved ones too. Using hypnotherapy in order to help yourself is a fantastic ‘bonus’, and can make life so much easier, especially with all that’s going on at the moment. So, whether you’d like to improve your mood, become more able to manage stresses and anxieties, or even develop a little more self-restraint with your lockdown food choices (especially with ‘takeaways’ remaining open in lockdown this time), then you can use your hypnotherapy skills to help yourself. Having this ability can help to make your life so much easier, because rather than stressing, worrying and struggling to do things differently, you are able to make powerful changes happen on a subconscious level, in the blink of an eye.

To start a successful, lucrative career as a hypnotherapist, you need good training. As with any well-paying job, you need to be able to do it well. There are many different hypnotherapy training options out there, so when choosing one, it’s important that you sign up for a course that’s well-designed, gives you all you need to actually get started seeing clients, and has great reviews from previous graduates (so you can make sure it’s a good course).

If you’re completely new to hypnotherapy and you’ve done absolutely no previous research about becoming a hypnotherapist, and you feel the need to ‘test the water’ to see if becoming a hypnotherapist is right for you, then there are some great options out there. Our ‘Hypnotherapy 101’ online course gives you a fantastic, and relatively quick introduction to how to do hypnotherapy. There’s also a great book, ‘The Beginner’s Guide to Hypnotherapy’. Both of these options will teach you ‘the basics’ (as well as some more advanced skills), and will help you decide if becoming a hypnotherapist is something you’ll love.

If you already know that you want to become a hypnotherapist, because you’ve always wanted to help people, and you’ve made up your mind that you want to take the first step now, then our online Hypnotherapy Certificate course is exactly what you need, covering all you need to know to become a professional hypnotherapist, as well as giving you an internationally recognised hypnotherapy certificate.

When you make the choice to become a hypnotherapist, not only do you have the flexibility of working for yourself and being your own boss, but you’re also able to set your own working hours and decide how much you charge per hypnotherapy session. Many hypnotherapists see clients for just a few hours a week, and still bring home a full-time wage. Some even do this from the comfort of their own homes, seeing their clients online. As well as that amazing flexibility, hypnotherapy is also a truly emotionally rewarding job. You get to help people every day, and just an hour or two of your time can change someone’s life forever! Being able to help people overcome their issues and live happier, more fulfilled lives is a really powerful thing. Just imagine how you’ll feel when you contact your first clients after their sessions, and they tell you that the hypnotherapy session with you made a huge difference in their lives, and that you’ve given them the ability to do something that they were never able to do by themselves… How great will that feel?

(It’s pretty darn good, I can tell you!)
